Any project, no matter how informal it may appear, still requires a degree of organisation, so here’s the structure of the volunteers’ division of the Watumi Festival & Fringe.
Please choose carefully, it is vitally important to select the section that matches best your skills and experience.
1. Promotion - distribution
Volunteers involved on promotional activities will receive promotional material (programmes, flyers, newspapers, posters, etc.) to be distributed at locations decided by the organisers around the city of Brasov
2. Location management
Teams of volunteers will help the artists prepare the venues allocated for their performance at the festival. This could include interesting and creative activities such as decorating open or closed spaces, helping artists set up their installations, assembling and disassembling logistical material, etc.
3. Technical support
If you are skilled in installing/maintaining audio-video equipment, this is the section for you. Please let us know about your abilities and we will integrate you in the technical team, helping the Watumi artists.
4. Welcoming and directing artists and guests
If you have excellent communication skills, fluent in at least one foreign language and have good organisational skills, you can register as a volunteer for the role of host to the festival. Your main task will be to welcome and direct artists and guests to their accommodation, to supply the festival’s programme and to escort/direct the artists to the venue of their performance and the guests to the event of their interest. Also, part of the „job description” is to make everybody feel joyful, happy and to initiate the Watumi feeling.
5. Desk Officer/office section
If your skills are in the office, organising events on paper, using the telephone etc, you can join the office section of the festival.
6. Info point
We certainly welcome volunteers who can offer the general public help regarding the events, finding locations for various acts and any other information that the public might need at information points around the festival.
